“Don’t turn away. Keep your gaze on the bandaged place. That’s where the light enters you.” - Rumi
Hi and welcome to my page! I know the process of finding a therapist can be overwhelming and a bit daunting, so I thank you for taking the time to learn about me.
It can be difficult to be human at times. Life can be full of so many losses, hardships, and challenges. Along with busy and demanding schedules, it may not feel like there's any time to process what you’ve gone through. You may find yourself in a place where your mental and emotional health have been greatly impacted. Maybe you’ve found yourself masking and suppressing your real feelings, and as a result, you don’t feel as engaged, connected, and fulfilled with yourself and your world.
In our work together, you are free to explore your emotions and seek a deeper knowledge of who you are. I prefer to think of my role as your therapist as that of a spotlight or lantern, bringing to light aspects of you that you may not have previously recognized and which may be limiting you from leading the life you desire.
I specialize in supporting children, adolescents, and adults who are facing challenges with grief, anxiety, trauma, perfectionism, boundaries, family and relationship problems, life changes, and ADHD. I weave several therapy modalities into our work together to provide treatment that is customized to each client's needs. CBT, DBT, psychodynamic, mindfulness-based, strengths-based, and person-centered therapies are all incorporated into my integrative and trauma-informed approach to therapy.
If you are looking for therapy that is direct, compassionate, honest, encouraging, and incorporates humor and fun at times, then I believe I may be a good fit. I offer both in-person and virtual sessions with daytime and evening flexibility.
I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor and am working towards my full licensure under the supervision and direction of Dr. Christi Bartolomucci, Ph.D., LPC, CPCS, and Shawna Jackson, LPC, CPCS. I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor and received my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Georgia State University.
