Licensed Professional Counselor

Hi there and welcome to my profile. Seeking counseling can be a big step so I am honored that you’re taking the time to read a little about me. I hope I can be of assistance to you.

Personal challenges require courage and belief in oneself to conquer. I believe perception plays a key role in the mental healthiness of individuals and a lot of the time distorted perception can hinder us from growth. My goal is to aid in your growth as an individual by supporting you in the journey of adjusting your perception and believing in your ability to do challenging things. Thus, I love working with individuals who seek to develop healthy coping mechanisms and increase overall self-esteem.

I understand that therapy should be unique for each individual. I seek to honor the individuality in my clients by increasing mindfulness in a holistic manner in addition to curating the therapeutic experience for each client. With a key focus of utilizing art-informed therapy and other expressive therapies, I customize therapy for my clients using an eclectic mixture of modalities including CBT, reality therapy and person-centered therapy. I aim to provide a relaxing therapeutic environment for my clients.

I am dedicated to supporting individuals facing anxiety, mood disorders, and the complexities of life transitions, self-esteem issues, and social skills development. I have a strong affinity for working with children (ages 4 and up), adolescents, and young adults in individual therapy settings. Additionally, I find fulfillment in assisting clients who are navigating trauma, precocious puberty, and the exploration of their racial or ethnic identities. I also love facilitating groups rooted in art and expressive informed therapy for school aged children and teens to increase social skills, mindfulness, self-esteem, and anxiety coping mechanisms.

Children/Teens: I employ art, play, and other expressive interventions to aid in the therapeutic process and provide a bridge for building the therapeutic relationship. Groups will also include art/expressive interventions to focus on building social skills and increasing mindfulness.

Young Adults/College Students: This point in life can be rather complicated as you may be seeking to realize your next steps or ease your transition into your new role as an adult. I’m here to support you in your pursuits to career discovery, life transitions, confidence, and easing stress. During sessions, I like to play soft music to ease tension and fill in the gaps where it may be hard to find the words to express yourself. In addition, we can collaborate in the sessions and utilize creative therapy to further express yourself.

I am originally from Long Island, New York and have also lived in California before moving to the Metro Atlanta Area. I have received an Associate of Arts in Psychology from Georgia Highlands College, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Kennesaw State University and a Master of Science in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Brenau University.
